Maybank Islamic has a new investment account
PETALING JAYA: Maybank Islamic Bhd has launched a new closed-end investment account, Multi-Asset Investment Account-i (MAIA), which aims to offer higher and stable returns of 4.25% per annum for an investment of three years.
In a statement, the bank said MAIA aims to maximize returns on investment by investing equally in its diversified portfolio of stable funding assets and marketable Islamic securities.
Maybank Islamic said the investment account was the first of its kind to be offered by a bank in Malaysia and is expected to reach RM250 million in investments.
âMAIA offers opportunities to investors with a medium to long term investment horizon and is open to individuals and institutional investors with a minimum investment of RM 10,000,â he said.
Datuk Managing Director Mohamed Rafique Merican said MAIA will be able to meet the needs of investors looking for syariah investment options that aim to preserve capital while generating stable and relatively higher returns.
