Speaking to Zionfelix on the “Uncut” show, Mr Bright Appiah said he asked the actress and her lawyer to open an investment account for the child so that the case can be classified.
He said the only reason behind this was that in an event where the nude photo and the boy became a problem in the future, the child would have their basic needs and run their life independently.
He said that if Akuapem Poloo had accepted and committed to upholding the deal, they would have begged the court to drop the case because the mother showed commitment to the child.
However, they complained that the amount was too high for the actress to raise, so they accepted 50.00 GHC which he asked them to come back as soon as possible with the money and the boy’s contact details for the account is open.
Mr Appiah said another lawyer handled the case and told them point blank that the actress would not deposit any money for the investment account, which allowed them to sue the case even further.
He also said that Akuapem Poloo’s sentence was lenient since the judge only imposed such a sentence to deter others.
Meanwhile, Akuapem Poloo was released on bail at 80,000 GHC with two bail and other types of undisclosed stuff.
